Family Day

On Friday the 7th of April, to our great pleasure, we were able to welcome many of your family members to the SHARE Family Day. Relatives got the chance to get to know your study and student life. First, we had an interesting lecture by Iris Wallenburg, then members could participate with their family in the pub quiz where great prizes were to be won. After the campus tour, we all ended the day in the well-known Café in de Smitse. We really enjoyed seeing so many family members in attendance and we hope they had a great day, we certainly did!

Comedy Night

Next, it was time to exercise our laughing muscles during a comedy night at Club Haug on the 12th of April. During this evening, we saw four very different comedians who all made us laugh. The whole show was put together by a fifth comedian who also did not hesitate to address some of our members and make jokes about them. Fortunately, we could all appreciate that and we all enjoyed the evening very much. For people who like an evening of laughter, this club is definitely recommended.

Study Trip

A few days later, we returned from the beautiful Portugal after we had a very nice Study Trip. We started our trip in Lisbon, where we were able to enjoy three days of great weather, culture and nature. In particular, we also visited the Ministry of Health. We were given presentations about the health system in Portugal and about the latest innovations within healthcare. This was very interesting and educational. We continued our journey to Porto. Here we also did several activities, such as visiting the non-profit organisation Casa Porto. We were explained what kind of volunteer work the organisation does for the homeless and we were very impressed by their story. To round off the trip, we visited a porthouse on the last day, because of course this should not be missed when you are in Porto. Some found the port a bit tastier than others, but the tour was a nice way to end the trip.

Etiquette Training

On the 25th of April, we all worked on our manners through an etiquette training. We had a special guest who worked in royalty and he told us more about the right way to behave in different situations. For example, at dinner, when you meet someone for the first time and how to behave on social media. This was very interesting and we learnt a lot. From now on we will all be on our best behavior at SHARE!
