Emiel
Hi guys!
Emiel here. Currently 21 years old and still living at home, but planning to move out this summer. Playing sports, relaxing, going out with friends/family/girlfriend and enjoying nice meals and music are things that I love. In my younger years, I played a lot of football and recently got caught up in Martial Arts. Besides studying at ESHPM, I am also an ambassador, following the honours programme and participating in the education council for the bachelor and student panel. Last but not least: being a SHARE member is something I can devotedly say. SHARE has brought me a lot. During the first years’ weekend, I met my current best friends! The short trip to Prague was also a time that I will never forget.
From time to time I get asked what the student panel exactly is, so let me explain this.
Once every ten weeks during a new educational period my fellow panel members, the coordinator of the educational period and other teachers that are involved come together. We discuss and evaluate the education of that period. In my first year, the bachelor was just renewed. I thought it was really interesting to give feedback to the teachers about the renewed education. Mostly by midday, we gather around in one of the conference rooms and start discussing and evaluating the education with some tasty sandwiches.
While discussing topics, I learn how to listen to other people. But also, I learn to give feedback in an efficient and understanding manner. Due to the input of other students, I also can hear what other feedback people give. Sometimes I can pass that on in the education council. Unfortunately, the student panel meeting is only during the period and not afterwards. From time to time there is an issue that needs to be discussed, but the period is already over. Luckily, for important matters that need to be discussed, there is the education council. If you would like to give feedback to ESHPM about education, and you think you can give valuable input to have an impact? Consider to sign up for the student panel!
