My name is Yassine Mellah, I’m 19 years old and currently im my first year of the bachelor Gezondheidswetenschappen (Health Sciences) at ESHPM.
Alongside my academic journey, I’m also a professional swimmer, which means I’ve had to learn how to balance a demanding training schedule with my studies. Im currently training 11 times a week which is not always easy, but I find that my passion for both my study and sports helps me stay motivated and focused.
My minimum goal in my swimming career is qualifying for the Olympic Games in LA 2028. Which means the upcoming years will be tough, but im really looking forward to the journey i will follow.
I’m also an active member of the sports committee of F.A. SHARE. Being part of the committee is a lot of fun and a great way to stay connected with others who share my love for sports. It gives me the chance to help organize events and promote a healthy, active lifestyle among fellow students.
Combining these different parts of my life isn’t always easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding. Whether I’m in the water, at a lecture, or planning a sports event, I’m always working toward becoming the best version of myself.
