At the start of my Board year, I was rewarded the task to be the General Member of the Board on the Lustrum Committee. I was very excited to receive this task, as the Lustrum is a very special celebration that only happens once every five years.
Usually, a major part of the Lustrum is the Dies Natalis. This is the birthday of the Association. However, we decided to take it a step further and celebrated SHARE’s Lustrum for the entire month of May.
As a member of the Lustrum Committee, you learn a lot of valuable skills. For example, you become an absolute expert in planning and project management as you always need to keep an overview. You learn great communication skills, as your committee can only work well if everyone is communicating clearly. And lastly, you learn how to deal with stress as there will always be unexpected things happening.
But most important of all, you will have loads of fun. As you will be working closely together with your committee, you have the opportunity to spend a lot of time together and become close. I have made a ton of memories, which will always have a special place.
If you’re looking to make the best memories of your student life, then join the Lustrum Committee!
